The Core Challenge
How can design blend heritage and rebellion? Beer Factory's orange prison cell panels and wireframe illustrations evoke Alcatraz's legacy, creating a playful, subversive identity that celebrates craft brewing and transformation.
Visual Language and References
The 33cl aluminum can for "Beer Factory" features a wireframe illustration design, arranged in panels that resemble prison cells. Dominated by orange, echoing inmate uniforms, it draws inspiration from the iconic Alcatraz prison. Architectural elements from the historic site are combined with brewing symbols—cans and glasses—rendered in a light, contemporary style.
Concept and Identity
The product offers a slightly subversive experience: enjoying a craft beer brewed on-site by former inmates, in a legendary location once home to Al Capone, the infamous figure of Prohibition. The design merges heritage and rebellion, turning each sip into a playful nod to history and transformation.
