The Core Challenge
How can a modern barbershop express family heritage and authenticity through a vintage design language, while suggesting mobility, simplicity, and the natural ease of grooming anywhere, anytime?
Visual Language and Name
The graphic design for Bush & Sons, a barber and grooming brand, adopts a vintage aesthetic with intentionally faded colors, evoking the passage of time and timeless tradition. The name "Bush" humorously refers to an untamed beard, while "& Sons" suggests a heritage of family expertise. The showcase website serves as both a presentation and online booking platform.
Photography and Identity
It features rustic outdoor photography of a hipster having his beard trimmed, emphasizing simplicity, authenticity, and a return to natural rituals. The visuals suggest that the service is flexible, accessible anywhere, and grounded in a deeply human, genuine, and enduring approach.
