How can graphic design merge tradition and mysticism in product packaging? Tharot des Savonneries Marseillaises uses vintage zodiac engravings and a tricolor palette to evoke heritage and artisan craft.
Visual Language and Imagery
The visual identity for Tharot des Savonneries Marseillaises is applied across soap bar packaging, tote bags, and T-shirts, blending tradition with originality. Inspired by the Tarot of Marseille, each eco-friendly soap is presented in a cardboard box adorned with vintage-style zodiac sign engravings, echoing the mystique of divination.
Palette, Numbers, and Identity
The tricolor palette—blue, white, and red—nods to both French heritage and the city's anthem, La Marseillaise. The number 13, prominently featured, refers playfully to both superstition and the Bouches-du-Rhône department, home to Marseille. The result is a refined, artisanal design that merges natural essences with cultural and esoteric symbolism.
